Main Event
Management Corporation
(MEMC) was founded in 1971 by its current
CEO and President, Harold S. Hook. The mission of MEMC is to provide
management training and organization development services to help organizations
become more effective and thus more productive. MEMC is headquartered
in Houston, Texas.
During his business career, Mr. Hook spent over 35 years as a Chief
Executive Officer--including 18 years as Chairman and CEO of American
General Corporation (AGC). He is credited with developing AGC into one
of the largest diversified financial services organizations in the United
States. American International Group, the largest underwriter of commercial
and industrial insurance in the U.S, acquired AGC
in 2001.
Mr.
Hook is a recognized management scholar and innovator. He is the creator
of Model-Netics--the language of management and the Main Event Management
Systems. He is also the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including
induction into the Texas Business Hall of Fame. Mr. Hook has served
on numerous Fortune 500 Boards. He is currently on the Board of Baylor
College of Medicine and serves as a Director Emeritus of the Greater
Houston Partnership.
Model-Netics
and the Main Event Management Systems are designed to improve
organizational performance and productivity. The programs have been
installed in a broad cross-section of organizations throughout the U.S.,
Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Japan, and France.
The programs have been proven effective in businesses of all types and
in educational, religious, governmental, healthcare, and other nonprofit
organizations.
